Three decades in IT, from writing database code at a Gothenburg hospital to leading enterprise-scale AI deployment at AstraZeneca. I don't just manage technology. I build with it.
A 30-year career that didn't follow a straight line. It followed the technology and the problems worth solving.
Started at Sahlgrenska University Hospital (ADB Kontoret). Moved through CapGemini, Wipcore and into AstraZeneca as a software architect. Built the VBA framework adopted company-wide and co-founded the global .NET framework. Deep roots in Oracle, SQL Server and .NET.
Led a 15-person team on the SDCI transformation, winning a CIO Award. Managed a $12M Data Center Rationalization covering 1,500 servers and 70 applications. Ran the Digital Therapeutics portfolio (clinical mobile apps) and the PT&D 4.0 business change program, implementing a new scientific data platform.
Led AstraZeneca's enterprise ChatGPT deployment across multiple countries. Currently bringing that AI experience to the public sector as Development Lead for Data at the City of Gothenburg, driving Data Reference Architecture and an AI Digital Assistance initiative. Continuing formal AI education with 17.5 university credits completed. Founded VisSight AB as a professional development vehicle.
To deepen hands-on AI skills beyond the management layer, built ProjectX (a full-stack community web platform) entirely solo using Claude, Gemini and VS Code with AI assistance. From concept to architecture to live deployment. A deliberate learning project to understand AI-native development from the inside, making me a sharper leader of the teams and initiatives I run professionally.
Not a skills checklist. These are the things that matter when the stakes are real.
Deployed enterprise generative AI inside a global pharmaceutical company. I've navigated privacy impact assessments, regulatory compliance and the change management reality that sits between AI potential and AI adoption.
Programs from $8M to $12M. Global stakeholder alignment across Sweden, UK and India. Vendors including HCL, Cognizant and Infosys. PMP certified. Scrum Master. I bridge business and IT because I've worked both sides.
Data has run through every chapter of my career, from building databases in 1996 to FAIR-compliant data products in 2022. I understand data at every layer: engineering, architecture, governance and business value.
ProjectX proves I can move from idea to live product with AI as the force multiplier. Architecture, custom plugin dev, UX, content and go-to-market, all executed solo. This is how senior leaders will work with technology. I'm already doing it.
24 years at AstraZeneca means communicating with scientists, executives and vendor partners across organizational and cultural lines. I build trust by being direct, technically credible and consistently reliable.
A full-stack community web platform designed and deployed from scratch. No team. No agency. Just a clear concept, the right AI tools and the technical depth to make it real.
Taking an ambitious concept from zero to live product, architecture, development, launch and marketing, using AI as the primary development partner.
This is not a side hobby. It is a complete product with a defined audience, a business model and a live deployment. It demonstrates the most valuable skill a senior technology leader can have right now: knowing how to build with AI, not just talk about it.
Built on a strong academic foundation and still actively adding to it.
The foundation of everything that followed.
Where the scientific rigor started.
17.5 university credits. Because learning doesn't stop.

I'm always interested in connecting with people who work at the intersection of data, AI and leadership. Whether it's exchanging perspectives on AI transformation in large organizations, discussing how AI-native workflows are changing the way we build, or exploring how the public and private sectors approach these challenges differently.
